Rachel joined the team at Encounter in June 2021, to lead the work and ministry through our Weoley Castle location. Over the last 22 years Rachel has worked with the team at Life Central Church Halesowen, Birmingham City Church and Oasis Christian Centre in Redditch. Rachel is married to Alastair, and they have 3 adult children and a black Labrador called Teddy. Alastair works as a procurement consultant for local authorities.

Isaac is the Assistant and Student's Pastor. He is married to Emily, and together they have both been serving in Encounter Church for the last 5 years. Isaac joined the church staff team in 2019 as Assistant Pastor and has begun his training in Elim ministry. He heads up the worship at Encounter as well as leading the student's ministry. Emily is an Assistant Principal at a secondary school and loves people.

Debs has been Children's Pastor since May 2018, with involvement in children's ministry for almost 20 years. Having studied at Regents Theological college, Debs later qualified as a primary teacher with a passion for early years. Married to Jamie, they have two very active boys, Jude and Ezekiel. When Debs isn't running around after the boys with a coffee in her hand, she enjoys getting stuck into creative projects, whether that be making gifts, calligraphy or scrapbooking.  

Tony is the operations manager, having served the church for over 15 years, he is responsible for much of what happens behind the scenes. Within his role he is also the church finance officer and is on the management team within the nursery.  Married to Sol, who is a nurse at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, an active volunteer in the church who really loves to welcome and interact with people.Together they enjoy days out and travelling especially to the Philippines, USA and New Zealand where they have family.

Quy is the Encounter Church administrator, having become a valued member of the staff team in November 2021. Quy has had previous roles in design companies where she has worked on solving problems creatively. At Encounter, Quy helps to provide logistical support and creates communicative graphics to promote church events and news. In her free time, she loves to play sports, travel, and spend time with the family cat Guai Guai.
