What is it?

For many years the church has been privileged to employ a full-time maintenance
person. However, over the years this has reduced and at this point many tasks required
to maintain a building of quality depend on those who are part of EC being prepared to
volunteer their time and skills.

What would I do?

Depending upon what skills you have we would call upon you to assist in any repairs,
involving anything from plumbing, plastering, wall fixings, painting & decorating,
patching up walls to weeding and the clearing of leaves.

How often would I serve?

We would like to build a pool of like-minded people, who would let us know which skills
they could contribute to and potential level of availability. When tasks come up, we
would contract you to ask if it is something you can help with – on an occasional basis.
Of course, we understand that you may work during the day so evenings or weekends
would be the most likely opportunity.

What kind of training is provided?

We will show you where things are located, you may need to bring certain tools with you
if you have them. Where possible the church will look to build resources in order to help
develop this functionality of the team.

Is being in membership at Encounter Church a pre-requisite?
