What is it?

The church is not just about the building, of course, but we believe that the Lord has provided us with a special resource for people to gather, connect, fellowship, worship, pray, grow and to find Christ. Whenever people visit the Encounter Church building it is honouring to God and helps people to feel more comfortable when it is clean and tidy -which is at the very heart of being a welcoming church.

What would I do?

Our aim is to build a small team of willing volunteers who would be happy to help ensure that the church is ready for Sunday mornings. This can be done any day in the week, and we would assigned specific tasks – which could include hoovering, washing walls or doors, throwing out rubbish, tidying or cleaning kitchen, office or toilet areas. All equipment is provided.

How often would I serve?

We would like people to serve monthly as a minimum for an hour or two at a time. If you are available to offer more time on a consistent basis, that would also be wonderful.

What kind of training is provided?

If you decide that you wish to be a part of this much-needed team, we will give you an induction that outlines what the different tasks involve and any safety elements that need to go alongside.

Spiritual, practical or attribute that would help in this ministry include;

Encouragement, helping and serving.

Is being in Encounter Church member a pre-requisite?
